Importance of Republic Day for Turks

The day of the proclamation of the Republic is an official holiday in all regions of the country. The Turks celebrate this day for 35 hours, until the next working day. The Turks of Northern Cyprus and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus also celebrate this day. Undoubtedly, it is of great importance for the Turks, as it is the day of their independence and the proclamation of their republic, and today it is a symbol of Turkey’s independence and sovereignty.
